Lots of naach-gaana at Sania's sangeet

Posted by muhammad imran

Sania and Shoaib who left late night after the mehndi ceremony from the Mirzas’ residence were geared up to show some latkas and jhatkas at the sangeet. The mehndi on Sania’s hand was done by Hyderabad-based Bhavna Parekh and Sandhya. Bhavna informs, “We have done Arabic mehndi designs on Sania’s hand. We have known her since she was a child. She would always come to us on all special occasions and she wanted us to do the mehndi for her wedding too. We are very happy for the couple and wish them all happiness.” And finally it was time for the close relatives and family friends of Sania and Shoaib to set the stage on fire at the Taj Krishna on Wednesday evening. According to city-based choreographer Aryan Rajput, who put together the show, he had been conducting rehearsals for an hour every day at the Mirza abode for the past one week. “About 20 family members, mostly youngsters, from both sides are performing on stage. We have about 12 to 13 sequences, each of three minutes each and the entire choreography is a 45-minute affair,” he said just before the sangeet started. “Shoaib’s brother is expected to perform a special number and so is Sania’s friend Rakshanda Khan. Sania and Shoaib too might do a number together,” he said and added that he feels “honoured to choreograph an Indo-Pak fusion sangeet as it is all about bonding between two countries and two souls”. Close friends and family members danced to Bollywood hits like Maa Ka Laadla Bigad Gaya, Khajra Re, Desi Girl, Oof Teri Ada, Apni To Jaise Taise and so on. Besides the naach-gaana , Sania’s uncle Talat Aziz sang a special ghazal which he had specially composed for the sangeet. The sangeet also included a special shayari session. At the time of going to press we had news that some Pakistani parliamentarians had already reached Hyderabad and will be presenting a special gift on behalf of the Pakistan President to the couple. A bouquet arrived for the newlyweds from the Bachchans saying ‘All the good wishes for a blissful married life.
